Brief:
ROCK3RS was approached to create a graphic and environmental identity to the newly renovated Candler Building in Baltimore. The 589,380-square-foot, 12-story Class A office building is now called by its address, 700 E. Pratt and it's located by the waterfront in the heart of the downtown area of Baltimore.
Solution:
Working in collaboration with an architecture team, we developed a comprehensive environmental graphic and signage system that enhances the architectural experience and orients users throughout the building. We created a diverse set of elements that speak to the history of place and embraces the industrial roots of the building. Keeping a bit of grit to this great industrial history, we designed a collection of custom wall-coverings, illustrations, remastered photographs and hand painted signage. The result is a rich palette of textures, visual elements and historic cues to complete the architectural experience in the exterior and interior spaces of the building.
